It was hard at first to catch the rhythm since I don't hear the dialect any more. The punch line , the last line is not expected. Good jolt for those in the know of North Eastern things. I had to almost read it aloud to make it work . I also had to regain my control of the speed of the NE speech , so I used "the likely lads " as a sound model and then it read just fine.
